On the 8th of November, Ms. Y.S. Sharmila, the President of the YSR Telangana Party (YSRTP,) completed 20 days of her Praja Prasthanam padyatra.
On the 20th day, Monday, Ms. Sharmila started her padayatra from Kanchipuram village of Munugode zone of Nalgonda district. Starting from there, the walk would continue to Rath Palli village. In today’s yatra, Ms. Y.S. Sharmila covered Palimela village, Vukondi village, Singaram and Pulipalipula villages.
During her walk, Ms. Y.S. Sharmila would interact with the people and conclude the 20th day of her walk at Elikatta Cross at 6:00 P.M., today.
It is to be noted, Ms. Y.S. Sharmila launched a padyatra against the misrule of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS.) Named as ‘Praja Prasthanam’ the padyatra was launched on the 20th of October, by Ms. Y.S. Vijayamma, Ms. Y.S. Sharmila’s mother.
The major reason behind the padyatra is to raise voice against the TRS Government and Mr. K. Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana.
During this Praja Prasthanam padayatra, Ms. Y.S.Sharmila would walk 4,000 km covering 16 of the 17 Lok Sabha constituencies and all Assembly constituencies. However, she would not cover Assembly constituencies under the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) limits.
Everyday, she would begin her padyatra at 8:30 A.M., and would take a break between 12:30 P.M., to 3:00 P.M. She would conclude her padyatra at 6:00 P.M.,
everyday and would cover an average of 13-15 km. The launch Praja Prasthanam padayatra is expected to continue for a span of 14 months, which is likely to be till December 2022.
