Here is a rare medical miracle which none of us could have ever imagine. A 50-year-old man survived without his heart beat for at least 50 minutes.
Rajendra Patel, a businessman from Sanand, underwent a prolonged cardio pulmonary resuscitation procedure, where in around 100 chest compression are given to revive a stopped heart before undergoing an emergency angioplasty. Amazingly the doctors who treated Patel, coordinated the entire medical procedure over messaging service WhatApp and other messaging applications.
Dr Ashish Saxena, who monitored Patel condition, said that when the patient was taken to hospital, his heart had stopped beating, only after chest compression and electric shocks for 50 minutes that his heart revised. “However, the patient’s heart later revived and blood flow to his brain was restored, which is why he is alive today,” he said.
