Australian shocked after watching massive lizard scaling up his wall

The 80-year-old Eric Holland was shocked when he saw a huge 1.5m long goanna scaling up his wall. The incident happened when he was working in his shed in Thurgoona, New South Wales. He was stunned and surprised for a second and then he took his camera and captured the massive lizard.

The reptile is believed to be a lace monitor and can grow up to two meters long. It is heard that the lace monitor’s are not an uncommon sight and a report stated that The NSW Office of Environment and Heritage said that it would not be unusual for a Lace Monitor to be found in the area around Albury.

In an interview to a newspaper, Holland said, “I sometimes get blue tongues and lizards in the backyard but never anything quite like this.”
