Meerut: A woman hailing from Meerut of Uttar Pradesh, had a big sigh of relief after doctors took out a huge tumor weighting almost 100 kg from her belly. The 45-year-old had suffering from stomach pain since five years as her husband could not take her to the doctor citing the family’s poor financial condition.
After her husband’s death, Devi finally visited the doctor and her condition became unbearable. Luckly she was operated free under an Indian poverty scheme.
Doctors took nearly three hours to remove the huge tumour from her right ovary last week. Surgeon Dr. A S Jaggi said that she was already in severe pain when she arrived at the hospital. “The tumour had started leaking and it would have turned fatal if there was any further delay.”He even added that he had never seen such a tumour in his whole career until now
