Chhattisgarh: An IAS officer in Chhattisgarh went viral on social media after a picture of him standing with a shoed foot resting on the steal rail of a hospital bed. After that the, IAS officer, Jagdish Sonkar came into lime light for not only disrespecting his patients but putting them at risk of infection and denigrated his position.
MBBS holder, Sonkar was on a visit to a government Nutrition Rehabilitation Centre for a routine inspection and was interacting with mothers of malnourished when he casually put his foot on the bed rail. Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) of Ramanujganj in Balrampur district told the paper that his “action was unintentional and avoidable.” Someone from the hospital clicked a photo and posted it on social media.
