Justice Jitendra Kumar Maheshwari, on the 7th of October, took the oath of office as the Chief Justice of Andhra Pradesh (AP) High Court (HC.)
Justice Jitendra Kumar was appointed as the CJ of the AP HC, on the 3rd of October after approval from President Ram Nath Kovind and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The swearing in ceremony was held at the Thummalapalli Kalakshetra in Vijayawada, AP.
Born on the 29th of June 1961, Justice Jitendra Kumar Maheshwari is the first Chief Justice of the bifurcated AP High Court.
Before Jitendra Kumar was appointed as the CJ of AP High Court, Justice Chagari Praveen Kumar was holding the position of the CJ of APHC temporarily.
Bhushan Kumar Harichandan, the Governor of AP, Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of AP and other officials of the AP HC attended the oath taking ceremony of Justice J.K. Maheshwari.
Justice Jitendra Kumar Maheshwari will retire as the CJ of APHC on the 28th of June 2023.
