The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD,) on the 6th of October, issued a rain alert for Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
According to IMD, from the 7th of October to the 9th of October, a few regions of Telangana are likely to witness heavy rain, whereas other places might have moderate amount of rain.
In the past few days, Telangana witnessed heavy rainfall since the beginning of October and continued to be affected by the water. Roads were flooded, trees were uprooted and it created chaos and traffic jams for daily commuters.
In a report of The Times of India, on the 6th of October, water entered a low lying hospital. Water entered the intensive care unit (ICU) of the Malla Reddy Narayana Multispeciality Hospital in Jeedimetla, Hyderabad, causing a lot of discomfort to the patients.
According to the weather department, the rain could be due to the cyclonic circulation from West Bengal and Odisha to Telangana and the coastal areas of Andhra Pradesh.
The rain may continue till the 13th or 14th of October.
