Uddhav Thackeray, the President of the Shiv Sena, on the 26th of October, called for a meeting to discuss a 50-50 formula for forming the Government in Maharashtra.
After winning the Maharashtra Assembly elections in alliance with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP,) the Shiv Sena reminded the BJP about the 50-50 power in the State. According to sources, the power sharing discussions are expected to be held after Diwali, which is on the 27th of October. The swearing in ceremony of the new Chief Minister would be held on the 31st of October.
Uddhav Thackeray is going to conduct a meeting with the newly elected Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs) and discuss the Cabinet.
According to sources, the meeting will be held at “Matoshree,” the residence of Uddhav Thackeray.
During the meeting, the Shiv Sena President would discuss the role of Aaditya Thackeray, who won as the MLA from the Worli Assembly constituency.
Aaditya Thackeray is the first of the Thackeray family to contest the Assembly elections and win them. He is also expected to be the next Chief Minister of Maharashtra.
