Hyderabad: The Telangana High Court held a hearing on the Quash Petition filed by BRS working president, K. T. Rama Rao (KTR), in connection with the Formula E-Race case. In a significant development, the court has extended its previous order, granting KTR protection from arrest until December 31.
The next hearing in the case has been scheduled for the same day, with further legal proceedings to follow.
The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), which has been involved in the investigation, filed a counter in response to the High Court’s earlier order. In its counter, the ACB requested the cancellation of the protection order, which had previously barred the arrest of KTR in the matter.
The case, involving allegations related to the Formula E-Race event, continues to be a point of legal contention, with KTR’s legal team pushing for the quashing of charges. The court’s decision to extend the protection order until the end of the month has provided temporary relief for KTR while the legal battle progresses.
