In a horrific incident, a class X student was burnt alive in Guntur district of Andhra Pradesh. Condemning the tragic incident the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) Party led A.P., Government announced an ex gratia of Rs. 10 lakhs to the victim’s family.

Notably, on the 17th of June, Saturday, a class X boy identified as Amarnath was burnt alive by Venkateshwar Reddy.  The accused along with his friends stopped Amarnath who was on a bicycle.  The accused then poured petrol on Amarnath and in no time burnt him alive.  Soon locals rushed to the spot and took Amarnah to a nearby hospital, where he succumbed to injuries.

Getting into the details, the victim’s grandfather said, Amarnath recently had a fight with Venkateshwar who allegedly harassed Amarnath’s sister.  In a heated argument, Amarnath warned Venkateshwar asking him to stay away from his sister.  

Amarnath’s Grandfather blamed Venkateshwar for the gore killing of Amarnath.  In addition, while receiving treatment at the hospital, Amarnath also said ‘Venky’ in his last statement, following which the police registered a case and detained Venkateshwar.

Meanwhile, Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, expressed grief and shock amid the gruesome killing of a child and announced Rs. 10 lakh compensation.  The cheque was handed over by Mr. Mopidevi Venkata Ramana, the Rajya Sabha Member of Parliament and Mr. Jogi Ramesh, the Housing Minister of Telangana.

In addition, Mr. Mopidevi Venkata Reddy also handed over Rs. 1 lakh, personally to the victim’s family.  Furthermore, the Andhra Pradesh Government also assured a government job to one of the family members of the victim.
