In Andhra Pradesh’s Visakhapatnam region, a gruesome act was reported on the 5th of November, Saturday.
According to sources, A man identified as Vara Prasad killed his daughter Likhita for a love affair. Victim, who was a class 10 student loved a boy named Aravind, which Likhita’s father did not approve of. He even asked his daughter Likhita to break off all connection with Arvind. Vara Prasad even registered a complaint against the boy, who was released after a counselling. However, the warnings and counselling got wasted, as Likhita and Aravind continued their love affair.
After committing the crime, Vara Parasad took a selfie video explaining why he killed his daughter and later surrendered to the police. In the video, Vara Prasad said, “Despite several warnings, Likhita continued their affair with Aravind. Hence, I killed her on Friday.” He added, “I brought up my daughter for a boy. I want my daughter to get good education. I joined her in boxing as per her wish. She told me that she loves Aravind. I told her stop it as the boy is in problems. She didn’t listen. Hence, I killed her on the same day when my mother died.”
Vara Prasad even showed the body of his daughter in the video. The matter came into light on the 5th of November, Saturday, after the eldest daughter of Vara Prasad spoke to police and filed a complaint too.
The Visakhapatnam Police registered a case and launched an investigation into the matter.
