In the Munugode by election, the K. Chandrashekar Rao led Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) won the by polls with a majority of 11,666 votes.

The results were officially announced in the early morning of Monday, the 7th of November, Monday, after eleven rounds of vote counting.  Counting votes for the Munugode by election started on the 6th of November and continued till the late hours of Sunday.

After the win in Munugode by election, Mr. K.T. Rama Rao, the Working President of the TRS, said the Bharatiya Janata Party spent crores of rupees and distributed to voters to gain votes in the Munugode Assembly constituency.  Mr. K.T. Rama Rao also said, to make with their candidate Mr. Komatireddy Raj Gopal Reddy, the BJP distributed bags of money, and liquor and all used the wrong ways to woo the Munugode voters, and failed.

Meanwhile, Mr. Bandi Sanjay Kumar, the President of the BJP in the Telangana unit, claimed that TRS bribed voters and threatened them to vote for Mr. K. Prabhakar Reddy, the TRS candidate for the Munugode by election.  He further said, the BJP, from now onwards would work hard and aim for development in the Telugu state of Telangana.  Moreover, Mr. Komatireddy Raj Gopal Reddy also said, the BJP workers and leaders were attacked by the goons of the TRS, while campaigning for the Munugode by election.

The Munugode by polls was held on the 3rd of November, a tough fight between the TRS, the BJP and the Indian National Congress (INC.)  As per the announced results, the TRS secured 96,958 votes, followed by the BJP with 86,485 and the INC secured  23,864 votes.

The results were confirmed by the Election Commission of India (ECI) after 15 rounds of votes counting.

The TRS candidate Mr. K. Prabhakar Reddy and the TRS workers are celebrating their victory at the TRS Headquarters and across the State.
