On the 12th of June, Andhra Pradesh (A.P.,) reported 207 new cases of the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19.
With the increase in the cases, the total number of positive cases in the State stands at 5,636.
The cases were confirmed by the Andhra Pradesh Health Department, on the 12th of June. In the past 24 hours, the State conducted a total of 11,775 tests.
Out of the total 207, 141 tested positive are residents of Andhra Pradesh, 64 positive cases were reported among those who returned from other states and two were foriegn returnees.
Meanwhile, 123 were discharged in the last 24 hours, taking the total of cured patients to 3,091.
The active COVID-19 cases in Andhra Pradesh is 2,465 and casualties reported till the 12th of June due to the infection is 80.
The number of recovered cases are more than the active cases, with positivity rate of 1.8 % in the State against 5.55 %at the national level. The state has a recovery rate of 54.84 % as against the national average of 49.47 %. The mortality rate in the state is also less 1.42 % while it is 2.86 % at the national level.
Till the 12th of June, Andhra Pradesh conducted a total of 5,16,457 tests for the Novel Coronavirus.
The Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party also imposed strict rules to curb the spread of the Novel Coronavirus in the State.
