A day after announcing a complete ban on firecrackers, the Andhra Pradesh Government allowed the bursting of green firecrackers.
According to sources, on the occasion of Diwali 2020, the Andhra Pradesh Government decided to allow only green firecrackers, causing less pollution in the State.
Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, said citizens of A.P., could burn firecrackers for two hours (8:00 P.M., to 10:00 P.M.)
In regard to this, on the night of the 11th of November, the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) issued a notice. The notice read, “In cities and towns where air quality is moderate or below, only green crackers will be sold and the timings for use and bursting of crackers will be restricted to two hours, 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. during Diwali and Gurpurab.”
The same has been allowed from 6:00 A.M., to 8:00 A.M., on Chhath festival and 11:55 P.M., to 12:30 A.M., during Christmas and New Year’s.
