Mr. Tammineni Sitaram, the Andhra Pradesh Assembly Speaker, suspended the Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP.)
The suspended MLAs are Mr. Payyavula Keshav, Mr. Adireddi Bhavani, Mr. V. Ramakrishna Babu, Mr. Atchhenaidu, Mr. M. Ramaraju, Mr. Gorantla Buchaiah Choudary, Mr. Nimmakayala Chinarajappa, Mr. Ganababu, Bendalam Ashok, Mr. Bhogeswara Rao, Mr. Gadde Ramohan, Mr. Nimmala Ramanaidu, Mr. Gottipati Ravi, Mr. Y. Sambasiva Rao, Mr. Satyaprasad and Mr. Dola Balaveeranajenuyulu
The suspension was in view of disturbance and obstacles the TDP MLAs were creating during the Andhra Pradesh Budget Assembly session. The Andhra Pradesh Finance Minister and Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) leader Mr. Rajender Buganna moved a motion, demanding suspension of the 16 TDP MLAs.
Meanwhile, the Andhra Pradesh Government has introduced eight bills as part of the assembly meetings. The Civil Services Repeal Bill, Agriculture, and Marketing Bill, the Land Titling Bill, the Universities Act Amendment Bill, the Panchayat Raj Amendment Bill and other bills were tabled in the house on the 16th of September.
On the other hand, a small debate over economic development was also held during the ongoing Assembly session, which started on the 15th of September.
