Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, on the 3rd of September, approved free electricity for 19 lakh farmers in Andhra Pradesh.
Mr. Reddy during the Cabinet meeting held on the 3rd of September, took several key decisions and one of them was to provide electricity to farmers of A.P.
In regard to this, Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy asked the concerned official to transfer money to the accounts of these eligible farmers for electricity.
Jagan Mohan Reddy said, “The free electricity scheme for farmers will be in force next 30 to 35 years.”
The new free electricity scheme for farmers would be long lasting and would not be scrapped.
In addition, the State Cabinet also approved the construction of two dams in Prakasam district.
Besides this, the State Government also imposed a ban on online gambling games which includes rummy.
The Cabinet meeting was attended by top officials, Cabinet ministers and other senior leaders of the YSRCP.
