AP CM YS Jagan Conducts Review Meeting Over Grain Procurement

Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh (A.P.,) on the 4th of January, conducted a review meeting. 

The meeting was scheduled at his camp office in Tadepalli, A.P., on grain procurement and ration door delivery.

The meeting was attended by Civil Supplies Minister Kodali Nani, Chief Secretary Adityanath Das, Special Secretary to the Ministry of Agriculture Poonam Malakondaiah, Commissioner for Civil Supplies Kona Shashidhar and several senior officials of the department.

CM YS Jagan directed the officers to see to it that the payments are made within 15 days as mentioned earlier after the grain is procured. Farmers are expected to pay their dues in full by this Sankranthi in respect of the grain collected so far.

The CM said that bills for procurement of grain should not be kept pending and the procurement of grain should be done as per the target set for this kharif. The CM has decided to launch special vehicles for the distribution of essential goods at home in the 3rd week of this month and inauguration of 10 kg rice bags on the same day.

It is revealed that the delivery of essential goods at home from the 1st of next month (February) for which 9260 mobile units were set up along with the same number of advanced weighing machines and 2.19 crores Non Oven Carry Bags Ready.

The vehicles would be provided to SC, ST, BC, EBC, Muslim, Christian minorities for delivery of ration.

Allocation of vehicles to SC, BC and Muslim minorities will be as follows such as 2333 for SCs, 700 for STs, 3875 for BCs, 1616 for EBCs, 567 for Muslim minorities and 85 for Christian minorities with 30 per cent subsidy for vehicle beneficiaries, 60 % bank loan, 10 % beneficiary share. 

Loans would be provided for them through the respective corporations as part of the welfare program. Therefore, loan facilitation camps are conducted by the State Civil Supplies Agency being set up in each district.
