The Andhra Pradesh Government led by the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) is going to give Dussehra promotions to teachers of the Education Department.
On the 28th of September, Mr. Vadrevu Chinaveerabhadrudu, the Director of the State Education Department, issued RC No. 13021 regarding the same. Under the issued notification, teachers working in A.P., Education Department would get promotions during Dussehra, in mid October.
The decision is said to be in the wake of the constant requests of teachers’ unions, which have been urging the A.P., Government for promotions.
The promotion lists of teachers would be made by the Regional Joint Directors (RJDs) and District Educational Officers (DEOs.) The Andhra Pradesh Education Ministry directed the RJDs and DEOs to make a list on seniority basis, providing promotions to all levels and following the Andhra Pradesh State and Sub Ordinate Service Rules 1996. The list is expected to be prepared by September end and promotions would be given by mid October.
