AP Government Signs Landmark Agreement with Tata Renewable Energy

Amaravati: In a major boost to Andhra Pradesh’s renewable energy sector, the state government has signed a key agreement with Tata Renewable Energy, paving the way for an investment of ₹49,000 crore. This partnership is part of the government’s broader vision to attract ₹10 lakh crore in renewable energy investments over the next five years.

Additionally, the AP government has entered into another Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Wadwani Foundation to accelerate the integration of artificial intelligence and technology in governance. The agreements were signed in the presence of IT and Industries Minister Nara Lokesh, Energy Minister Gottipati Ravikumar, and Chief Secretary Vijayanand.

Minister Nara Lokesh took to social media platform ‘X’ to highlight the development, calling it a significant step toward clean energy progress in AP. He revealed that Tata Power will produce 7,000 megawatts of renewable energy, creating 7.5 lakh jobs and strengthening the state’s economy. Lokesh also extended his gratitude to Tata for its trust and investment in Andhra Pradesh.
