Amaravati: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has raised serious concerns over the suspicious death of watchman Ranganna, a key eyewitness in the murder case of former minister Y.S. Vivekananda Reddy. During a cabinet meeting, ministers extensively discussed the case, particularly the deaths of multiple witnesses linked to the investigation.

Reports indicate that ministers questioned the attempt to link Ranganna’s death to the police, calling it a conspiracy to malign the government. Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan termed the deaths of witnesses as deeply unfortunate, while the Director General of Police (DGP) briefed ministers on the circumstances surrounding Ranganna’s passing, acknowledging suspicions.

Chief Minister Naidu emphasized the need for vigilance, recalling similar witness deaths in the Paritala Ravi murder case. He condemned the criminalization of politics under Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy’s leadership, stating that political anarchy must be countered. The CM reminded ministers how previous accusations in the Viveka case attempted to mislead investigations.

Despite the case being under CBI jurisdiction, Naidu insisted that ensuring the safety of witnesses is the state’s responsibility. The meeting also noted that six individuals linked to the case have died so far.
