The Andhra Pradesh Government is soon to begin the land/property registration services in village secretariats.
On the 23rd of September, the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) led Andhra Pradesh Government announced to have registration services in 51 village secretariats. In regard to this, Mr. Rajat Bhargava, the Special Chief Secretary of Revenue, Registration and Stamp Department, held a meeting and issued the notice.
According to the sources, Mr. Udaya Bhaskar, the Additional Inspector General of Stamps and Registration, Mr. Nagalakshmi, the Deputy Inspector General Nagalakshmi and other concerned officials attended the meeting. During the meeting, Mr. Rajat Bhargava asked the district officials to notify the village secretariats regarding the new initiative and train panchayat secretaries and ward secretaries for the registration services. He also asked the officials to establish sub registrar offices and appoint panchayat secretaries as sub registrar for the services.
Mr. Seshagiri Babu, the Commissioner and Inspector General of the Registration and Stamps Department would be giving the necessary training to the appointed panchayat secretaries, appointed as sub registrar.
After receiving the training, they would execute the functions of a sub registrar to commence registration services in 51 village secretariats. The decision to begin registration services in these villages is to make registration easy for the people of villages and maintain transparency. The initiative would be carried out under the Reserve Land Project Phase I.
Initially, the pilot project of sub registrar office and registration services was launched in the village secretariat of Takkellapadu in Krishna district. Later, the YSRCP Government decided to roll out the same to 51 villages of Andhra Pradesh.
The initiative would be launched with the coordination of the Panchayati Raj, Rural Development, Survey Settlement, and Land Records Departments of A.P.
