AP Govt Signs MoU with Singhania Trust to Revolutionize Education

Amaravati: The Andhra Pradesh government, determined to elevate the academic sector to a top national position, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Sulochanadevi Singhania School Trust. Education, IT, and Electronics Minister Nara Lokesh announced that radical curriculum reforms from kindergarten to postgraduate levels will incorporate creativity and modern skills to ensure students are job-ready upon graduation.

Under the new MoU, the trust will initially implement changes in 14 schools in the Tirupati district by enhancing teacher training, improving spoken English proficiency, and integrating advanced technology into the existing academic system. This initiative is expected to benefit over one lakh students over the next five years, with plans to extend the reforms to Amaravati, Visakhapatnam, and Kakinada in the future.

Chairman of the Singhania Group, Gouatham Hari Singhania, emphasized that the trust’s primary objective is to equip students with cutting-edge skills, while also upgrading the efficiency of teachers through specialized training centers set to be established in Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam, and Amaravati. He stressed the importance of digital tool training and English proficiency to prepare students for modern career demands. Director Revathi Srinivasan of the Singhania Group of Schools highlighted that introducing global educational standards at local schools is crucial for progress.
