Vijayawada: In a significant development, Israeli representatives have expressed keen interest in establishing an international-level garden center in Amaravati, the capital of Andhra Pradesh. The proposal was discussed during a high-level meeting at the Amaravati Development Corporation (ADC) headquarters in Vijayawada on Monday.
The Israeli delegation, led by Green Tech Limited representatives David Mizrahi, Prashant, and Kishore, met with ADC Chairman and Managing Director D. Lakshmiparthasarathy to present their vision. They showcased various fruits, flowers, vegetables, and other agricultural products that can be cultivated in Amaravati, tailored to the region’s climate. The team also brought samples of produce grown in their nurseries to demonstrate their expertise.
The meeting highlighted the potential for advanced horticultural practices and sustainable urban farming in the region. ADC’s Horticulture Department Head V. Dharmaja, along with Urban Planning and Infrastructure Planning Officers P. Suresh Babu and K.V. Ganesh Babu, actively participated in the discussions.
This collaboration aims to boost Amaravati’s agricultural and urban development, leveraging Israel’s renowned expertise in horticulture and green technology. If finalized, the project could position Amaravati as a hub for innovative gardening and sustainable farming practices.
