The Andhra Pradesh Police intensified their investigation into the illegal mud mafia case. On the 22nd of April, Friday, the State police detained 9 accused in the mud mafia attack on Revenue Inspector Aravind.
It is to be noted, on the 22nd of April, Friday, Revenue Inspector (RI) Mr. Arvind was attacked by a mud mafia mob, when he was preventing illegal mining of mud in Motoru Village, Gudivada Mandal, Krishna district. The accused brutally thrashed RI Mr. Arvind and tried to trample him with a bulldozer.
However, soon, the Village Revenue Officer (VRO) team and Krishna District Police rushed to the spot and controlled the situation and registered a case. After the preliminary investigation, 9 people including Radha Krishna, Lakshman Rao, a minor and others were arrested. A case has been registered under sections 353 (assaults or uses criminal force to any person who is a public servant in the execution of his duty) and 307 (Attempt to murder) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC.)
The Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) Government condemned the attack on a public servant and directed the police to intensify the investigation.
