With the passing days, the number of the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19 infected is increasing in Andhra Pradesh. In less than 24 hours, the State recorded 80 new cases of the virus.
The fresh cases were confirmed by the State Health Department of Andhra Pradesh. Despite continuous rapid tests, strict lockdown guidelines and implementation of complete lockdown, the increasing numbers are a matter to worry for the State Government.
As per the record, out of total 80 new cases, 31 cases reported in Kurnool, 19 in Guntur,14 in Chittoor, 2 in Krishna, 2 in Prakasam, 6 in Anantapur, 6 in East Godavari and 1 in Visakhapatnam. Out of 14 patients in Guntur, two patients who finished their quarantine period were also tested positive after getting the treatment for the COVID-19.
The Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) Government is taking all the necessary measures to curb the spread of the Coronavirus in the State.
On the other hand, the State witnessed 3 deaths due to COVID-19 which increased the death cases to 27.
The AP Medical department tested a total of 6, 522 samples out of which 80 were tested positive.
The data was released by the State Health Department on the 23rd of April. This is the highest number of cases reported in a single day so far in A.P.
With these updates, Andhra Pradesh has a total of 893 positive cases of the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19.
