The Central Bureau of India (CBI) arrested Mr. Manish Sisodia, the Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi, in the controversial 2021 Delhi Liquor Scam.
On the 26th of February, Mr. Manish Sisodia, the prime accused in the controversial, now withdrawn Delhi Liquor Scam, appeared before the CBI for interrogation. The Central Agency summoned Sisodia for questioning, following which the agency arrested Mr. Manish Sisodia.
The arrest of the Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi, created a ruckus and high voltage political drama in the national capital city. The Aam Aadmi Party leaders and Delhi CM Mr. Arvind Kejriwal blamed the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) led Central Government behind the arrest and called it cheap political tactic.
Mr. Arvind Kejriwal took to Twitter and said, “मनीष बेक़सूर हैं। उनकी गिरफ़्तारी गंदी राजनीति है। मनीष की गिरफ़्तारी से लोगों में बहुत रोष है। लोग सब देख रहे हैं। लोगों को सब समझ आ रहा है। लोग इसका जवाब देंगे।
इस से हमारे हौसले और बढ़ेंगे। हमारा संघर्ष और मज़बूत होगा।”
(Manish is innocent. His arrest is dirty politics. There is a lot of anger among the people due to the arrest of Manish. Everyone is watching. People are understanding everything. People will respond to this. This will boost our spirits further. Our struggle will get stronger.)
In another tweet, Mr. Arvind Kejriwal said, “मनीष जी के परिवार से मिलकर आया हूँ, उनकी धर्मपत्नी और माताजी से मिला। उनको भरोसा दिया कि हम सब उनके साथ हैं, मनीष एक सच्चे देशभक्त हैं और देश के लोगों और बच्चों के भविष्य के लिए लड़ रहे हैं। भगवान उनके साथ हैं।”

Meanwhile, Mr. Manish Sisodia is scheduled to appear before the CBI Court, on the 27th of February, at 2:00 P.M.
