The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) planned a mega protest against the arrest of Mr. Manish Sisodia, the Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi.
Notably, on the 26th of February, Sunday, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) arrested Mr. Manish Sisodia, in the 2021-2022 Delhi Liquor Policy Scam. The arrest came hours after the CBI questioning on Sunday night.
Blaming the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) led Central Government for the cheap politic tactic, the AAP staged a massive protest across India. AAP leaders and workers, gathered outside the CBI office also, to protest against the arrest, calling it a conspiracy of the PM Narendra Modi led BJP against the AAP. Furthermore, the AAP leaders also observed the 27th of February, Monday, as a ‘black day,’ raising voices against Sisodia’s arrest.
The protest has been called ahead of the court proceedings of Mr. Manish Sisodia. After his medical checkup, the Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia would be produced before the CBI court in Delhi. The court hearing would begin at 2:00 P.M., ahead of which he would undergo a mandatory checkup.
Meanwhile, to control the AAP called protest, the Delhi Police have deployed heavy force of security personnel, the Rapid Action Force and Central Reserve Police Force across Delhi. Tight security and a layer of barricades have been put, across Delhi to control the massive rage and protests, leading to high voltage political drama.
