In order to prevent girls from going to school and getting an education, in Iran, thousands of girls were poisoned.
On the 26th of February, Sunday, Mr. Younes Panahi, the Deputy Health Minister of Iran, confirmed the poisonings had been deliberate. Furthermore, a local news confirmed quoted Mr. Panahi saying, “After the poisoning of several students in Qom schools, it was found that some people wanted all schools, especially girls’ schools, to be closed.”
Notably, after the judicial custody death of 22 year old student Kurd Mahsa Amini. She was arrested for violating strict woman dressing in Iran, and died while she was in the police custody. The situation tensed the environment in Iran, especially for women and girls.
Many people even tried to stop girls from going to school and with the same motive, the water supply was poisoned, which resulted in health issues and respiratory issues to girls in school.
parents of students who had been ill had gathered outside the city’s governorate to “demand an explanation” from the authorities. The concerned authority took steps and ordered a probe into the matter.
