Amaravati: Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan is set to complete his 11-day Prayaschitta Deeksha (penance initiation) at Tirumala on October 2. As part of the ritual, Pawan Kalyan will begin his journey on October 1, walking to Tirumala via the Alipiri steps. Upon reaching the hilltop, he will visit Lord Venkateswara on the morning of October 2, marking the conclusion of his atonement.
The Deeksha was initiated by Pawan Kalyan after reports surfaced that adulterated ghee had been used in the preparation of Tirumala’s sacred Laddu prasadam. The Deputy Chief Minister, in response, undertook the penance to seek divine forgiveness and ensure that the sanctity of the prasadam is maintained.
Following the conclusion of his penance, Pawan Kalyan has scheduled a Varahi Sabha in Tirupati on October 3, where he is expected to address the public on various issues, including the recent controversy surrounding the Tirumala Laddu prasadam.
