The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has approached the Telangana High Court seeking faster hearings in cases linked to former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy over alleged disproportionate assets.
The agency has asked the court to direct day-to-day hearings in the pending cases and ensure the required personal appearances. The request aims to speed up proceedings that have been pending for several years.
According to reports, the ED filed its petition on September 23, 2026, seeking steps to move the cases forward without further delays.
The cases involve allegations that Jagan Mohan Reddy accumulated assets beyond his known sources of income. These allegations are part of long-running legal proceedings involving investigative agencies.
The matter has also drawn political attention in Andhra Pradesh, with leaders from the ruling Telugu Desam Party supporting faster hearings.
However, the ED’s request is still before the court, and the allegations remain subject to legal proceedings.
