CM Revanth Sets Big Economic Goals for Telangana

Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has set a target of making the State a $1 trillion economy by 2034 and a $3 trillion economy by 2047. He said the Telangana Rising 2047 plan supports Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of Viksit Bharat by 2047.

CM Revanth Reddy announced the goals while opening the Samakhya Business Summit 2026 at HITEX in Hyderabad on Wednesday.

The Chief Minister said Telangana aims to contribute 10% of India’s GDP, compared with its current share of about 5%. He also called for cooperation across political parties to support the country’s growth.

CM Revanth Reddy said Hyderabad should aim to compete with global cities such as Tokyo and Singapore. He urged business leaders to invest in Telangana and build companies that can compete worldwide.

The State has divided its development plan into three regions: CURE for the core urban area, PURE for areas around cities, and RARE for rural and farming areas. The plan aims to support growth based on each region’s needs.

He also called for more support for young people and women entrepreneurs. The two-day summit is being organised by the Samakhya Chamber of Commerce.
