Vijayawada: Former Gannavaram MLA and YSRCP leader Vallabhaneni Vamsi was interrogated for two-and-a-half hours on Monday in connection with the Satyavardhan abduction case. Police officials reportedly presented multiple pieces of evidence before him and asked over 20 questions. However, Vamsi denied any knowledge of the key allegations. The interrogation was conducted by three ACPs, based on the statement given by the victim, Satyavardhan.
Meanwhile, the SC/ST Special Court in Vijayawada extended Vamsi’s remand period. As his previous remand term was set to expire today, police produced him virtually before the judge. After reviewing the case, the court extended his remand until March 11.
The kidnapping case has drawn significant attention, given Vamsi’s political background. Authorities are continuing their investigation, and further developments are expected in the coming days.
