
Amaravati: Transport Minister Mandipalli Ram Prasad Reddy announced that the free bus scheme will commence from Visakhapatnam, promising significant benefits for women. The Minister plans to visit Tamil Nadu, Telangana, and Karnataka to study the implementation of similar schemes in those states.
Ram Prasad Reddy criticized the previous YSRCP government for not fully integrating the RTC into the government. He assured that the RTC will be revamped without causing any inconvenience to staff and employees. Additionally, he announced the introduction of electric buses to modernize the transportation system.
The Minister also highlighted alleged corruption by the former minister Peddireddy’s family in Rayalaseema, accusing them of extensive mineral exploitation and land grabbing. He claimed that the family, which was ordinary between 1985-90, amassed significant wealth and contributed Rs. 1,000 crores to Vaikapa. Ram Prasadoddi vowed to expose the irregularities committed by the Peddireddy family.
This initiative is part of the government’s broader efforts to improve public transportation and address corruption, ensuring a more efficient and transparent system for the people of Andhra Pradesh.
