Tadepalli: Former MLA Gadikota Srikanth Reddy has criticized Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, accusing him of creating regional imbalances by favoring one region while neglecting others. Speaking to the media on Tuesday, he claimed that Naidu has sidelined Rayalaseema’s irrigation projects, even those nearing completion, and obstructed key initiatives such as the establishment of a High Court in the region.

Srikanth Reddy compared Naidu’s governance with that of YS Rajasekhara Reddy and YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, stating that both leaders ensured balanced regional development. He pointed out that Jagan prioritized irrigation projects despite challenges like COVID-19, whereas Naidu has focused on personal and political gains.

He also criticized Naidu’s alleged plans to remove YSR’s name from Kadapa district, contrasting it with Jagan’s move to create the NTR district in honor of the former CM. “He may remove YSR’s name from official records, but he cannot erase his legacy from the hearts of the people,” he asserted.

The former MLA accused Naidu of using the assembly to spread false allegations against Jagan while engaging in self-promotion. He further alleged that Naidu’s recent Delhi visit and its agenda reflect his continued bias and lack of commitment to Rayalaseema’s development.
