Kakinada: The YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) has criticized Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, labeling him a failure CM for burdening the people with registration charge hikes and failing to implement his election promises.
Speaking to the media on Friday, former minister K. Kannababu accused the government of selectively increasing registration charges, sparing the Amaravati region, indicating favoritism towards a select few. He alleged that the real estate sector dictated these hikes, aiming to generate ₹10,000 crore annually, calling it economic terrorism.
The YSRCP leader questioned the ₹3 lakh crore financial aid announced by Home Minister Amit Shah and the ₹1.19 lakh crore loan, demanding transparency on fund utilization. He claimed that, unlike former CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, who ensured direct benefit transfers (DBT) and adhered to a welfare calendar, the current government lacks clear priorities, focusing instead on publicity and self-promotion.
He dismissed the WhatsApp governance initiative as an imitation of YSRCP’s volunteer system and criticized the government’s failures, including the Davos summit controversy, Polavaram project neglect, and education policy stagnation. He also announced the launch of Fees Poru, demanding immediate clearance of pending student fee reimbursements.
