Nagiri: Former minister RK Roja has strongly criticized Chandrababu Naidu’s government, accusing it of jeopardizing students’ futures by failing to clear ₹3,900 crore in pending dues under key educational schemes.
Roja pointed out that ₹2,800 crore under “Vidya Deevena” and ₹1,100 crore under “Vasathi Deevena” remain unpaid, creating barriers for poor students in accessing education. She reminded the public that when Chandrababu stepped down, these dues were pending, which the YS Jagan-led government had gradually cleared. She accused Naidu of dismantling the fee reimbursement scheme introduced by Dr. YS Rajasekhara Reddy.
Criticizing the government’s seven-month rule, she claimed that key welfare programs like “Cheyutha,” “Amma Vodi,” “Nadu-Nedu,” “Arogyasri,” and the volunteer system were scrapped, while Naidu’s administration remained fixated on attacking Jagan Mohan Reddy instead of governing.
Roja also questioned Nara Lokesh on his past statements urging people to hold the government accountable. She further took aim at Pawan Kalyan, questioning his silence over Naidu’s unfulfilled promises.
Dismissing allegations about state debt, she asserted that the coalition government came to power through deception, not development, and is now using Jagan Mohan Reddy as a scapegoat for its failures.
