
Amaravathi: Narasaraopet Lok Sabha member, Lavu Krishnadevarayalu, has been appointed as the Leader of the Telugu Desam Parliamentary Party (TDPP). In a meeting chaired by TDP supremo and Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu on Saturday, he outlined the roadmap for party members, emphasizing the importance of prioritizing the state’s development and interests.
During the TDPP meeting held at the party office in Amaravathi, Naidu instructed the MPs to function with development and state interests as their highest priorities, aiming to inspire others. The discussion focused on key issues to raise in Parliament and a strategic plan of action.
Naidu urged the MPs to secure maximum funds for state development projects and schemes. With 16 members in the Lok Sabha, he emphasized the importance of progress and securing developmental projects, including top universities, global-standard hospitals, and industries.
He also stressed the need for MPs to establish direct connections with specific ministries to facilitate coordination and ensure proper utilization of central funds. The chief priorities include the development of Amaravathi and the Polavaram project, alongside fulfilling promises made during the state’s bifurcation.
Chandrababu Naidu highlighted the significance of organic farming and infrastructure development, such as roads and housing, under central schemes. He also urged MPs to focus on completing the Amaravathi-Anantapur highway.
Chittoor MP Daggumalla Prasad Rao was appointed Deputy Floor Leader, Nandyala MP Byreddy Sabari as treasurer, and Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy as whip in the Lok Sabha.
