Hyderabad: The Special Investigation Team (SIT) is intensifying its probe into the alleged liquor scam that occurred during the previous YSRCP regime. As part of the ongoing investigation, SIT officials continued their search operations in Hyderabad for the second consecutive day on Tuesday.

A key focus of the latest searches is the residence of Meghna Reddy, located in Chitrapuri Colony under Rayadurgam limits. The SIT began inspecting her house on Tuesday afternoon after detecting suspicious money withdrawals from her bank account. Investigators are examining financial transactions and seeking possible links to the broader liquor scam.

On Monday, the SIT had conducted extensive raids at the residences and offices of Kasireddy Rajasekhar Reddy, also known as Raj Kasireddy, who is accused of acting as a conduit for former government officials involved in the scandal. Around 50 SIT officials were deployed to carry out simultaneous raids across three locations in Hyderabad.

The liquor scam investigation, which involves allegations of corruption and misuse of power under the former administration, has seen significant progress with these recent raids. More revelations are expected as the SIT continues to track financial trails and gather evidence.
