Delhi: Leading dairy and fresh produce distributor Mother Dairy is set to make a significant investment in Andhra Pradesh by establishing a fruit and vegetable processing plant in Kuppam, Chittoor district. The company plans to invest between ₹150-200 crore in the project under its Safal brand, further expanding its footprint in the agri-processing sector.

According to Manish Bandlish, Managing Director of Mother Dairy, the company is investing ₹600 crore in setting up two major processing plants—one in Andhra Pradesh and another in Itola, Gujarat, which will cost ₹400 crore. The Gujarat plant is expected to be completed within two years. The Andhra Pradesh project will commence as soon as land is allocated, though the Detailed Project Report (DPR) is still under preparation.

Currently, Mother Dairy Safal operates three fruit and vegetable processing plants in Bangalore, Ranchi, and Delhi (Mangolpuri), processing two lakh tonnes per annum. Additionally, the company is investing over ₹500 crore in a milk processing plant in New Nagpur, expected to be operational by 2026.

Mother Dairy recently introduced Idli-Dosa batter in the Delhi-NCR market, producing one ton daily, which has received positive consumer feedback.
