Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan has ordered legal action against a fake WhatsApp channel using the name of his office.
According to a statement from the Deputy Chief Minister’s Office, the channel named “Deputy CMO, Andhra Pradesh” is not an official communication channel. The office said it was using its identity to share misleading information and unrelated content.
An FIR is being initiated against those responsible, and the office said further legal action would follow.
The Deputy Chief Minister’s Office has urged the public not to trust or share messages from the fake channel. It has advised people to follow only its verified WhatsApp channel and official social media accounts for updates.
The office also warned that using a government office’s identity without permission would not be tolerated.
