Amaravati: Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and Forest Minister Pawan Kalyan has ordered an inquiry into allegations of forest land encroachment by YSRCP leader and former minister Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy. Reports suggest that Peddireddy is involved in illegal land grabbing in the forest areas near Mangalampet in Chittoor district.
Pawan Kalyan has instructed the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (PCCF) to conduct a thorough investigation and submit a detailed report. He emphasized that the probe should cover not only the extent of encroachment but also the destruction of forest lands. Additionally, he directed officials to identify those responsible for record manipulation and determine who benefited from the illegal occupation.
The Deputy CM stressed that legal action must be taken against all involved. He also urged the PCCF to submit a preliminary report at the earliest. The move signals a strong stance by the Andhra Pradesh government against illegal encroachments and environmental violations.
