Amaravati: Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu reminded newly appointed chairman of various corporations that holding a government post is a responsibility and not an entitlement. Addressing them at the State Secretariat on Wednesday, he urged the chairmen to remain humble and committed to public service.
“We are in public service, and our actions are always under public scrutiny. There is no room for ego or arrogance in this role,” said the Chief Minister. He congratulated those appointed and emphasized that discipline and dignity must guide their work.
Naidu highlighted that nominees from all three National Democratic Alliance (NDA) partners were selected based on careful consideration. He explained that while only a few positions were filled in the first phase, more appointments would follow. The Chief Minister advised patience for those awaiting further announcements, stressing that all hardworking party members would be recognized in due time.
Special attention was given to ensuring social justice in appointments, with a focus on giving priority to Backward Classes (BCs) based on population ratios. Naidu encouraged the chairmen to take their responsibilities seriously, especially in critical sectors like the Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (APIIC) and Road Transport Corporation (RTC).
“Work hard and build a good reputation for the government. Follow our principles of simple governance and effective administration,” he advised, referencing the government’s swift relief efforts during recent floods. Naidu concluded by urging the chairmen to work closely with ministers, MPs, and MLAs to bring political gains for the NDA government in Andhra Pradesh.
