Amaravati: Congress State President Sharmila expressed deep emotion over property disputes with her brother, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy, accusing him of prioritizing profit over family bonds. She voiced these concerns at a press conference in Vijayawada, stating, “Jagan would go as far as to involve our mother in legal battles for his gain. The sentiment, trust, and respect we held as a family have been shattered.”

Sharmila alleged that YSR Congress leaders went to great lengths to include their late father, Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, in legal documents for political benefits. She also claimed that Jagan had promised to safeguard her interests, but that assurance remains unfulfilled. “I never sought anything beyond my rightful share. The promise to transfer assets, like Saraswati Cement, was made, but Jagan has yet to honor it,” she asserted.

Emphasizing her struggles to support Jagan and the party’s 2019 victory, Sharmila recalled her contributions, including her 3,200 km padyatra. “I walked countless miles for him, for the party, with no regard for my own life. But now, I am left betrayed,” she lamented.

Sharmila urged YSR Congress Party members to reflect on these actions and questioned if Jagan and his supporters would take an oath to deny her claims.
