Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh (A.P.,) held a review meeting over the implementation of Family Doctor Concept in the State.
During the meeting held on the 13th of June, Tuesday, Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy reviewed the Health and Medical sector growth in Andhra Pradesh. Attended by the concerned medical and health officials, Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy asked the officials to ensure no corruption in government hospitals. The State CM also asked the officials to set up telephone numbers for complaints and other issues with the people.
Furthermore, CM Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy suggested the officials implement the Family Doctor concept effectively and emphasized on the performance of Public Health Clinics (PHCs) and village clinics to achieve desired goals in preventive care.
Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy said, “The recruitment system in the medical and health department should be done efficiently by filling up vacancies from time to time under the leadership of an IAS officer.”
Meanwhile, the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) officials also discussed the infrastructure and medical facilities at new medical colleges in the districts of Andhra Pradesh.
