YS Jagan Mohan Reddy Reviews COVID-19 Situation, Directs Officials To Curb Spread

Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh (A.P.,) conducted a meeting regarding the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19 situation. 

The meeting was organised to discuss the ongoing COVID-19 vaccination drive and surge in the Coronavirus cases. Recently, Andhra Pradesh also witnessed a rise, from the previous below 100 cases, the State started recording above 300 cases. On the 22nd of March, the State reported 381 new cases, the day before yesterday (the 21st of March,) A.P., recorded 380 new cases.

The Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) Ministers, the Health Department officials and the Chief Secretary of A.P., Adityanath Das attended the meeting. Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy chaired the meeting and directed officials to take necessary measures and control the spread of the virus. The CM also made an appeal to people asking them to follow all the COVID-19 protocols like wearing face masks, using hand sanitizer and maintaining social distance.

Meanwhile, till date Andhra Pradesh has a total of 8,93,734 positive cases, of which 2,038 are active cases, 7,189 deceased cases and 8,84,357 recovered/discharged cases.
