Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh (AP,) on the 28th of September, announced 50 % reservation for nominated posts in the AP Government.
Earlier, during the AP Assembly Budget session, the Jagan Mohan Reddy led Government declared 50 % job reservation for Scheduled Castes (SCs,) Scheduled Tribes (STs,) Backward Classes (BCs) and minorities.
On the 28th of September, the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) issued a notification regarding the implementation of the same.
According to the notification, the YSRCP Government will formulate a policy to implement the reservation system for SCs (15 %,) STs (6 %) and BCs and minorities (29 %.)
Out of the 50 % reservation, the State Government allocated 50 positions for women belonging to SCs, STs, BCs and minorities.
The State Government will soon implement the reservation system for the nominated posts in all the departments of the Andhra Pradesh Government.
