Pulivendula: YSRCP had declared the candidates for the upcoming assembly and parliament elections. Senior leader and minister Dharmana Prasada Rao announced the candidates along with MP Nandigam Suresh in the presence of CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.

There is no considerable change in the list of incharges declared earlier. Interestingly, minister RK Roja retained the Nagiri assembly seat.

YSRCP said that 50% of the seats were allocated to SC, ST, BC and minorities.In 175 MLA seats, SC were given 29, ST were representing 7,BCs will contest from 48 seats and OCs will contest at 91 seats. There are 7 minorities and 19 women contesting as MLAs.

Dharmana said that there is a significant increase in the representation given to SC, ST, BC and Minority communities when compared to 2019. A total of 11 more seats are given to these communities. Taking up the number of seats in the SC/ST/BC/Minorities community to 50%.

Out of the total 25 MP candidates selected, 88% of them, i.e. 22 candidates are Graduates and above. There are 11 Post Graduates & 2 Doctorates among the MP candidates.
