AP Assembly Elections – AP CM Addresses Public Rally In Anantapur

N. Chandrababu Naidu, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh and the President of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP,) addressed a public rally in Anantapur, on the 27th of March, thereby kick starting his campaign for the Assembly elections in Andhra Pradesh.

Naidu started the campaign ahead of the Lok Sabha and Assembly elections in the State.

On the 27th of March, Naidu, accompanied by J.C. Pavan Reddy, the Member of Parliament (MP) candidate of Anantapur, reached Anantapur and addressed the citizens of the District.

J.C. Pavan Reddy, the son of J.C. Diwakar Reddy, the current MP of Anantapur, will contest the upcoming Lok Sabha elections from the Anantapur constituency in Andhra Pradesh.

The TDP, which is also the ruling Party of Andhra Pradesh, is one of the strongest parties in the State. Since the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh into the State of Telangana and the State of Andhra Pradesh in 2014, the State of Andhra Pradesh developed under the rule of the TDP in many fields such as education, technology, infrastructure, etc.

The TDP formulated several welfare schemes and launched development projects for the benefit of the citizens of Andhra Pradesh.

Apart from Anantapur, Naidu will also address public rallies in Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh, ahead of the elections.

Andhra Pradesh will contest a total of 175 Assembly seats and 25 Lok Sabha seats in the upcoming Assembly and Lok Sabha elections respectively.

The Lok Sabha and Assembly elections in Andhra Pradesh are scheduled to be held on the 11th of April. The major parties contesting the elections are the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP,) the TDP and the JanaSena Party.

The results of the Andhra Pradesh Lok Sabha and Assembly elections will be announced on the 23rd of May 2019.
