The Indian Air Force (IAF) recently fired employees who refused to get their vaccine doses against the Wuhan virus.

The Wuhan virus, also known as the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, being vaccinated Is an important term of the IAF jobs. While the new recruitment would be based on the vaccination status of the candidate, the IAF is taking crucial steps to ensure vaccination of their employees.

Recently, the IAF fired an employee who was refusing to get vaccinated. In response to losing his job Mr. Yogendra Kumar, the IAF employee who was fired, filed a petition in the Gujarat High Court.

During the court hearing, the IAF cleared their stance and refused to accept the employees who are not vaccinated.

The Solicitor General Devang Vyas who was representing the IAF, said across India, a total of 9 employees refused to get vaccine doses. In regard to this, the IAF asked all the employees to get vaccinated and issued a show cause notice to them, explaining their position. While other 8 employees responded to the notice, Yogendra Kumar ignored it, following which he was sacked from his services.

Meanwhile, the High Court bench headed by Justice A.J. Desai directed the IAF to consider his case afresh after examining all the material he submits. The court also ordered the IAF to give Mr. Kumar a hearing (based on the show cause notice) and then decide on his case within four weeks.

The high court also ordered the IAF not to compel the IAF employee Mr. Kumar to take the COVID-19 vaccine and not to fire him until the matter is resolved. With this, the Gujarat High disposed of his petition, directing the IAF to hear a fresh case and take a decision within 4 weeks.
