The Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19 cases are rising rapidly in India. Adding to the worsening number of cases, the Nation recorded the highest number of 3.14 lakh new COVID-19 cases.

This is the fourth consecutive day, India reported more than 2.50 lakh single day cases. On the 22nd of April, the Union Health Ministry confirmed 3,14,835 new cases. Besides new cases, the number of deaths due to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours stood at 2,104.

Speaking about the current situation, medical experts expressed uncertainty about when the situation would get better. In the past week, over 2 lakh infections are being recorded everyday. The Central Government also said, despite the everyday rise of close to 3 lakhs, the second wave is yet to peak.
